Exhibition of Plucked Instruments
Due giornate dedicate alla bellezza, alla storia e alla voce degli strumenti a pizzico.
Una mostra unica nel suo genere, che riunisce strumenti originali e repliche storiche provenienti da liutai internazionali: chitarre, liuti, mandolini, vihuele, tiorbe e altri strumenti, testimoni dell’evoluzione della musica e dell’artigianato liutario attraverso i secoli. Il programma prevede:
24 luglio
Ore 15:00-19:00 Apertura della mostra: esposizione permanente visitabile per l’intera giornata, con possibilità di dialogare con i liutai presenti. Sarà possibile provare gli strumenti, dialogare con i costruttori, e vivere un momento di scambio diretto e coinvolgente.
Ore 21:30 The Voice of Wood , le chitarre dei Maestri Liutai in concerto. Due giovani concertisti già internazionalmente affermati suonano le chitarre artigianali esposte in un vero e proprio concerto, seguito da degustazione. Un’occasione straordinaria per ascoltare da vicino le diverse timbriche e personalità sonore degli strumenti esposti, in un viaggio tra epoche, stili e culture.

Two days dedicated to the beauty, history, and voice of plucked string instruments.
A unique exhibition, bringing together original instruments and historical replicas from international luthiers: guitars, lutes, mandolins, vihuelas, theorbos, and other instruments that bear witness to the evolution of music and the craft of luthiery through the centuries. The program includes:
July 24
3:00 PM – 7:00 PM Exhibition Opening: a permanent display open throughout the day, with the opportunity to speak with the luthiers present. Visitors will be able to try the instruments, converse with the makers, and enjoy a moment of direct and engaging exchange.
9:30 PM The Voice of Wood, the guitars of the Master Luthiers in concert. Two young, internationally acclaimed concert performers will play the handcrafted guitars on display in a true concert, followed by a tasting. An extraordinary opportunity to closely hear the different timbres and sound personalities of the exhibited instruments, in a journey through eras, styles, and cultures.

4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Exhibition and Lecture-Concert on Original Historical Guitars by Stefano Magliaro (12 original 19th-century instruments)
