Giovani concertisti selezionati porteranno il pubblico in un viaggio musicale che attraversa secoli e continenti: dalla musica antica al classicismo e al romanticismo\, fino alle sonorità del Novecento\, alla sperimentazione contemporanea\, alle atmosfere latine\, al jazz e all’improvvisazione. \nUn’occasione unica per ascoltare lo strumento più amato del mondo risplendere in ogni sua voce: intima\, virtuosistica\, ritmica\, lirica. Il tutto immersi nella suggestione di un chiostro medievale\, sotto il cielo di Tuscania. \n—- \nIn the magical open-air setting of Sant’Agostino’s cloister\, THE GUITAR NIGHT celebrates the guitar in all its voices\, styles\, and expressive power. A group of outstanding young performers will take the audience on a journey that spans centuries and cultures — from early music to the classical and romantic eras\, through 20th-century soundscapes\, contemporary trends\, Latin rhythms\, jazz influences and spontaneous improvisation. \nIt’s a rare chance to experience the world’s most beloved instrument in all its colors — intimate\, virtuosic\, rhythmic and lyrical — under the stars\, in one of Tuscania’s most enchanting historic spaces.

Il programma della serata ruota attorno al celebre Quintetto in Re maggiore “Fandango” di Luigi Boccherini\, capolavoro che unisce il gusto classico alla vitalità della danza spagnola\, in un finale travolgente che ha fatto la storia del repertorio cameristico per chitarra e archi. Accanto a questa perla\, verranno eseguite altre pagine del Classicismo europeo per quartetto d’archi\, in un itinerario sonoro fatto di dialoghi intimi\, architetture perfette e poesia espressiva. \nA dare vita a questo repertorio saranno quattro musicisti tra i più stimati della scena internazionale. Il chitarrista Frank Bungarten\, interprete tra i più autorevoli al mondo\, sarà affiancato dal violinista Gabriele Pieranunzi\, prima parte dell’Orchestra del Teatro San Carlo e solista di grande raffinatezza; dalla viola di Francesco Solombrino\, camerista colto e appassionato fondatore dell’Ex Novo Ensemble; e dal violoncellista Danilo Squitieri\, artista versatile che attraversa con naturalezza repertori classici\, contemporanei e multidisciplinari. \nUn incontro tra talento\, bellezza e memoria\, in uno dei luoghi più affascinanti della Tuscia. \n—— \nIn the heart of the Sant’Agostino Cloister\, a place where silence and stone preserve centuries of history\, the elegance and expressive power of 18th-century chamber music will come to life once more. At the center of the program is Luigi Boccherini’s famous Guitar Quintet in D major\, known as “Fandango” — a sparkling fusion of classical refinement and Spanish folk energy\, culminating in a finale of irresistible rhythm and vitality. Alongside this masterpiece\, the concert will feature other highlights from the Classical period for string quartet\, tracing a musical path rich in interplay\, structure and lyrical nuance. \nThe performers are four renowned artists of international stature. Guitarist Frank Bungarten\, one of the most respected interpreters of our time\, will perform together with violinist Gabriele Pieranunzi\, concertmaster of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and a refined soloist; violist Francesco Solombrino\, a passionate chamber musician and founder of the Ex Novo Ensemble; and cellist Danilo Squitieri\, a versatile artist whose work bridges classical tradition\, contemporary music and interdisciplinary projects. \nA celebration of great music\, deep artistry and the timeless spirit of place.
